The Captain must be a resident or attending school within the City of Saint John and surrounding areas and of appropriate age, ideally will be between the ages of 8 & 12 years of age. The Captain will be in charge of the Fire House nearest to their home. As part of his/her duties he/she will be required to attend a number of functions or site visits thoughout the Department. The Captain will be picked up at School or at home and returned prior to dismissal by an Engine Company (Fire Truck) and will have his/her disposal as escort and department staff car.
